Faculty Senate asks U. of Wyoming to hold off on Y Cross Ranch sale
The University of Wyoming Faculty Senate voted 33-16 last week to ask the University of Wyoming Foundation to put its plan to sell the Y Cross Ranch, which it owns in partnership with its counterpart at Colorado State University, on hold for five years, during which time the Wyoming university could fully utilize the 50,000-acre ranch between Cheyenne and Laramie for teaching opportunities.

Existing clinic questions need for new medical clinic in Montana county
The Bighorn Valley Health Center recently opened its doors in Hardin to fill a gap in health care services, but operators of the Hardin Clinic, which has been operating in Montana's Big Horn County for years, questioned the need for another community health center.

Regional forester says Montana thinning project can proceed
On Oct. 19, Deputy Regional Forester Jane Cottrell rejected an appeal filed by an Idaho man of a thinning project designed to remove beetle-killed timber at the Larry and Bass creek recreation areas in the Bitterroot National Forest in Montana.

Wyoming wildlife agents capture, relocate grizzly sow
A young female grizzly bear that had damaged an outbuilding west of Dubois to get to horse feed stored inside was captured by Wyoming Game and Fish Department personnel and released in the Fishhawk Creek drainage west of Cody.

The Salt Lake County Board of Realtors said the median sales price of houses in Salt Lake City in the third-quarter of this year were 11 percent higher than reported in the same quarter last year.
